After posting a slideshow, featuring multiple images of her rocking wavy blonde locks, to Instagram on Monday, the 28-year-old rapper sent her more than 24.1 million followers into a frenzy as they marveled over her glamorous makeover.

In the pictures, the Grammy winner could be seen holding onto a lit cigarette as she  sH๏τ her best smoldering gaze at the camera while glancing over her shoulder.

In less than 24 hours, she received more than 2 million likes, including ones from Katy Perry, Emily Ratajkowski and Charli XCX.

Hailey Bieber even commented a heart eyes emoji to signal her approval of Doja’s stunning new look.

When asked why she thinks ‘people go crazy’ when she does things like shaving her head or eyebrows, the musician explained that she has made peace with the inevitable backlash over her provocative ensembles.

‘My theory is that if someone has never met me in real life, then, subconsciously, I’m not real to them,’ she told Harper’s Bazaar last year. ‘So when people become engaged with someone they don’t even know on the internet, they kind of take ownership over that person.’

Doja continued: ‘They think that person belongs to them in some sense. And when that person changes drastically, there is a shock response that is almost uncontrollable. … I’ve accepted that that’s what happens.’

Despite dividing social media over some of her looks, she noted that shaving her head and eyebrows and taking her wigs on and off gives her ‘all the freedom in the world.’

Later in the interview, she admitted: ‘I put myself out there on social media and TV … But I don’t really put myself out there in real life.’

In 2022, the performer confessed that she shaved her head because she ‘never liked’ having hair.

‘I never liked having hair. I cannot tell you one time, since the beginning of my life, that I’ve ever been like, “This is cool.” I just do not like to have hair,’ she told her Instagram followers.

The Kiss Me More hitmaker also recalled feeling ‘so f**king exhausted when working out’ and wearing wigs, which she said would start ‘sliding and peeling off her head’ when she did ‘incredibly strenuous’ exercise.

‘I would be working out, but I couldn’t focus because I was more concerned about how I looked. Or how my hair was doing, and how to keep it adhered to my scalp,’ Doja noted.
