AT THE peak of her career Megan Fox was the name on everyone’s lips and regularly featured on “H๏τtest women” lists.
But the reason we don’t see much of her any more could be down to a few controversial words she uttered back in 2009.
One of her defining roles was in Transformers, which she starred in alongside Shia LaBeouf in 2007.
She reprised the role in the 2009 sequel Revenge of the Fallen but was “fired” from the third film due to a daring interview she gave about director Michael Bay.
Megan was replaced by British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in the explosive blockbusters.
Speaking to Wonderland Magazine, the same year as the sequel was released, she said: “He’s like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation.
“He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is.
“So he’s a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him.”
It emerged two years after the event, that Steven Spielberg had advised Michael Bay to drop her instantly following her Hitler jibe.
And in an open letter, film crew members called Fox “dumb as a rock” and “tedious” to work with.
Megan has starred in 10 films and four TV shows, including New Girl, but her movies haven’t been a resounding success.
One of the films, Pᴀssion Play in 2011, even received a measly three per cent on Rotten Tomatoes.
Meghan recently told Cosmopolitan: “[Being dumped from Transformers] was absolutely the low point of my career.
“But without – ‘that thing,’ I wouldn’t have learned as quickly as I did. All I had to do was apologize – and I refused. I was so self-righteous at 23, I couldn’t see [that] it was for the greater good. I really thought I was Joan of Arc.”
During the emotional interview, Megan also opened up about her relationship with her husband Brian Austin Green, who she has three kids with.
The pair were reported to have split last year but Megan later “called off their divorce” according to a number of US publications.
She also revealed to the magazine she’s planning on quitting acting for good.
