Kylie Jenner – and her clone – are getting down and dirty in Acne Studios‘ FW23 Denim Campaign. Across a slew of alluring pH๏τos sH๏τ by Carlijn Jacobs, the fashion icon rocks muddy body paint, wet hair and the Swedish luxury label’s new delivery of distressed denim styles for Fall/Winter 2023.
Denim is the foundation of Acne Studios – what the label’s Creative Director Jonny Johansson calls “an endlessly important material that [he] loves to reinvent every season.” And for this season’s reinvention, Johansson leaned into simplicity and the beauty of wear and tear. The captivating and cohesive campaign shows Jenner in a rare stripped-back setting, seeing her don the collection effortlessly. She pairs a new jacket silhouette – the ultra-oversized, uniSєx ‘2023’ jacket – with the timeless ‘2021’ mid-rise, wide-leg jeans. Jenner also sports the collection’s new accessories, flexing the new distressed leather Multi-Pocket bag and seasonal eyewear.
Jacobs’ goal with the direction of the campaign was to tap into Jenner’s self-ᴀssurance and self-love, thus catalyzing the two Kylies concept. “The campaign sought to showcase Kylie as a woman who is in control, has a love for herself, and is unafraid to embrace her desires. I aimed to celebrate her individuality by doubling her. She loves herself and is not afraid to show it,” Jacobs explains in a statement from Acne Studios.
“This campaign is one of my favorites. I loved working with Carlijn and I love the simplicity of the images, they have strength in their directness,” says Kylie Jenner in the statement.
The entirety of Acne Studios’ FW23 collection is now available to shop on Acne Studios’ webstore as well as in stores worldwide. Check out the campaign images in the gallery above.
