Gigi Hadid and Tommy Hilfiger have stepped on the gas to unveil their fourth ‘TommyXGigi’ fashion collaboration.
The supermodel and the designer have opted for a motorsports theme for their Spring 2018 “see now buy now” collection, which will be available to purchase once it goes on show during Milan Fashion Week on February 25.
The collection, which is available for viewing on Tommy.com so that fans can create a personal wishlist ahead of its release, is replete with racing references and tricolor stripes in red, white and blue. There are oversized windbreaker jackets, cropped moto jackets and sporty gloves in white perforated leather, as well as tees, zippered pants and knitwear. Tricolor stripes appear on everything from black ankle boots and platform mules to deconstructed sweaters and tote bags.
Hadid is well versed in fashion design by now, having teamed up with the house on three previous “TommyXGigi” collections since September 2016, with each installment being showcased during an innovative, interactive catwalk show in a different city and going on sale for fans immediately after the presentations. A behind-the-scenes video for the Spring 2018 collection shows the supermodel sketching out designs for the new collection, making adjustments to the fit of the garments and shooting the racing-themed campaign.
