In addition to her impressive music career, Dua Lipa is well known among the fashion set for her incredible style. From her Y2K-inspired outfits (including halterneck tops and waterfall hem dresses) to her stellar red carpet CV, the Cosmo fashion desk would, in no uncertain terms, like to raid her wardrobe. Now, for one of her latest appearances, Dua has stepped out repping yet another covetable look, but it’s a notable departure from her nostalgic party ‘fits, this time repping an incredibly chic (and 100% profesh) workwear look.
Earlier this week Dua stepped out in Washington DC for a screening of the motion picture Hive. For the occasion, the singer wore head-to-toe black with a turtleneck jumper tucked into a long flowy maxi skirt, cinched at the waist with a belt. The look was brought together with an oversized blazer layered over the top and a pair of glossy black boots poking out from underneath the hem.
It’s an undeniably different look to the kind we’re used to seeing from Dua, but hey, what can we say? She’s a fashion chameleon and we totally wanna wear this get-up to the office this winter.
Dua wore her hair down in the pics, opting for a classic feline eyeliner flick and a swipe of bronze-toned lipstick.
Dua shared a short of her outfit on Instagram with the caption “Last night at the screening of HIVE @hive.film – A beautiful film which tells the touching and inspiring story of Fahrije H๏τi and the women of Krusha. This story of struggle and perseverance is one that needed to be told. It speaks to the soul of the Kosovan experience and I hope it can help with the collective healing of families who were separated and people who lost their loved ones.

So there you have it, outfit inspo and a movie rec all rolled into one.
