Dua Lipa’s eye-catching red Prada dress rivaled the red carpet at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. The Albanian singer-songwriter wore a floor-length Prada number with Tiffany & Co. jewelry to complete her look. Even with the rich, ruby color of the award ceremony’s walkway, Lipa stood out.

Styled by Lorenzo Posocco, Lipa’s mermaid silhouette cinched at the waist. The “Barbie” actress’ strapless dress resembled a fresh, English rose with its layers of textured fabric akin to flower petals across the entire ensemble.

The singer had matching red hair, which she styled in a half-up, half-down look with side-swept bangs. She also wore Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co. earrings.

Lipa’s bold look coincides with her new global ambᴀssadorship with Porsche, which was announced in December. She has previously been the face of Jaguar, Versace, Puma and Yves Saint Laurent Beauté.

Lipa is also no stranger to the mermaid silhouette, as she arrived at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards in a custom Schiaparelli dress designed by the brand’s creative director Daniel Roseberry. Her mermaid-themed style choices are a callback to the “Barbie” film, where she played the Barbie Mermaid.

The Critics Choice Awards recognize the greatest film and television achievements of the year. Hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler, the 29th annual ceremony airs live on The CW on Sunday, Jan. 14. Margot Robbie will honor her “Barbie” co-star, America Ferrera, with the SeeHer Award, while James Mangold will present Harrison Ford with the Career Achievement Award.
